They aren't testing God, they're testing their Messiah, the Omnissiah is Robot Jesus, sent by Robot-God, different thing.
Also, I may be wrong, but I've heard that there's a verse from the book your quoting about not trusting people claiming to be the Messiah, as they might be trying to decive you.

So, if they're following Bible Rules, what they're doing isn't just allowed, but religously ruled to have to happen.
That is, of course, if they're following Bible rules, which they might not, as they're a Machine religon made in the post-apocolypse of an A.I uprsing so devesting it collective traumatised all of mankind, and happened tens of thousands of years into the future.
It's also possible that someone found a poorly copied Bible and used that as the orignal biases for the Machine Cult, and expanded it into whatever the Holy Book of Rules of the Mechanicum is called.

He was raised in an abusive household where his mother turned his eldest brother into a child soldier and then use her influence as a goddess to place the blame on him for the genocide.
She would then have mohg and his twin brother who were born with genetic deformities. Marika soon divorced her husband blaming him and throw the two new borns into a far away cell preventing them from having any contact with the outside world until they became a age.

Yep.
The shown abilities of it don't quite match the supposed "more advanced than the omnitrix" statement. But for lower lifeforms it was quite dangerous
